Microbotic's recent technological achievement is the result of
a dedicated effort to combine several technologies and thus
provide a flexible, accurate, versatile and cost-efficient
platform for micro-component handling. The MicroHand concept will
become commercially available during Autumn 2003, however, the
MicroSystem is still in the development phase.
MicroHand

MicroHand
adds a new meaning to the phrase "to lend a hand". A number of
co-operating MicroHands will be able to perform even the
most complex of tasks - making this platform quite unique
Concentional manual assembly under microscope or your
prototype project may be handled much more efficiently
and accurately with the MicroHand.
The microHand is operated via Spaceball, a 3D manipulation
interface.

MicroSystem
If accuracy
is your major concern or for more complex tasks the
MicroSystem solution offers the possibility of fully automated
operations. And it may include controlled atmosphere in the
working space. This model features up to six hexapods working
simultaneously.
Advanced software based on CAD/CAM combined with a motion
planner defines and specifies the task . subsequently, a
control unit handles operation of the system. Simultaneously,
a new task may be specified and planned thus saving valuable
time.
A control system based on complex algorithms combined with the
system configuration allows MicroSystem to become an
integrated part of flexible constructions and thus find its
application in many different areas.

Our concept may be applied within a number of technological areas,
for instance:
· fiber optics
· sensor technology
· bio-tech analyses
· MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System)
More specifically, applications may be in the handling and
assembly of:
· hearing aids
· active implants
· "lab on a chip"-solutions
