The dimensions of micro components and devices continue to decrease and, consequently, limit or prevent manual handling and processing, even under microscope. In addition, manual handling is prone to human error and high rejection rates. Dedicated machines and robots are efficient and provides a uniform quality level, however, they are expensive and a realistic option only for large scale production.

Microbotic now offers a novel and unique solution when conventional options does not meet your demand for flexibility, accuracy, versatility and cost-efficiency.

Microbotic's technology is based on a mechanical structure
called a hexapod. The advantage of using this exact mechanism is its rigidity combined with simultaneous movement around 6 axes.

The system is controlled by telemetry - an optical system based on position sensors and a micro camera, which determines position and orientation. Closed loop-vision guarantees positioning accuracy down to sub-µm level.

In essence the Microbotic platform provides complete, 3-dimensional freedom of movement and feautres:

  ▪ handling of objects up to 1 gram

    ▪ working space of 20x20x20mm

    ▪ six degrees of freedom (±20° rotation in
      three axes)

    ▪ positioning speed of 20mm/s

    ▪ accuracy better than 1 µm

Advanced software based on CAD/CAM combined with a motion planner defines and specifies the task - subsequently, a control unit handles operation of the system. Simultaneously, a new task may be specified and planned thus saving valuable time.
